Just One More NSV

I love these little NSV's I'm having!  It's such a great feeling.  This morning I had to drive Shawn's car to work because he was taking mine to the shop to have the oil changed and the brakes looked at.  I have such an amazing husband who does things like that for me!  He knows I hate waiting at mechanic places so he does it for me!  Back to the car - I.HATE.DRIVING.THAT.CAR!  Every time I have to drive it, I want to take it immediately to a car lot and trade it in.  But then I remember that we don't have a car payment on it and I only have to drive it a handful of times throughout the year so I get over it.  But I still like to complain about having to drive it.  Anyways, the last time I had to drive it, I couldn't get the seat belt to fit me so I had to drive around all day without a seat belt on.  It was such discouragement!  I hated that.  It meant I was getting FATTER!  But this morning I got in and put the seat belt on with no problem, it wasn't cutting me in my neck, and I had plenty of extra belt to work with.  I also had to pull the seat up some cause I couldn't reach the pedals that far back.  YEAH FOR ME!!

WOOHOOO!!

Another victory last night at the WW meeting.  I stepped on the scale, which had missed me since I had missed the last two meetings, and was down 6.8 pounds!  So far I've lost 19.4 pounds and reached my 5% target.  YEAH!!  I received another 5 pound loss star sticker and a 5% star sticker.  Thank you Jesus for helping me on this journey that I am on.  Without you, I couldn't do it!  Now if I could just get myself motived to start exercising, I would be rockin' that ol' scale!

Another NSV

I went shopping last night for some new pants.  I ended up getting a new pair of pants, 3 tops, and a WAY FUN necklace.  The NSV part - I was able to buy the pants and tops all in smaller sizes.  I got my pants in a 26W and my tops are 2X's.  Woohoo!!  I haven't been to a WW meeting in two weeks so I am looking forward to this weeks.  One week we didn't have it because of VBS at the church it's at and then last week I was sick with strep throat so I didn't feel like going.

Well here she is

Here she is. My new bike...Bubbles. My Uncle Dave met us at the Newburgh Walmart Sunday after church and brought her home for me. I rode her out the door of Walmart and around the parking lot for a few minutes. It was fun, I was acting silly, and I think my husband was embarrassed. LOL!!

Her name is Bubbles

Meet Bubbles.  She's a 26'' Women's Schwinn Delmar Cruiser Bike from Walmart and I can't wait to get her.  I've been wanting to get a new bicycle for some time now cause I need to start exercising to go along with the WW program I am doing.  I love riding bikes, well I did as a kid.  I really haven't ridden much as an adult, but the few times I have, I still loved it.  I have a bike now, but it's quite a few years old and needs new tires and a larger seat.  I took it out for a spin a while back but it was uncomfortable to ride.  But Bubbles, now she's a different story.  I took her for a test spin in the bicycle isle of Walmart earlier in the week and feel in love with her.  I found her online for $99, but in the store she is $119.99 and Walmart wouldn't price match their online price (which I think is ridiculous since they price match other stores), so I had to order her online, then have her shipped to the Newburgh store, and have someone put her together for me.  Which is actually fine with me, cause it gives me time to find someone with a truck to pick her up for me.  I ordered her this evening and I'm hoping she'll be ready by Thursday so that I can have Heather pick her up when she comes into town for our WW meeting.

I found this picture of Bubbles on the Internet and tweaked it some so in real-life, she's not *as* pink, but she's close to it.  She's more the color of Bubbalicious Bubble-Gum, hence the name Bubbles.  When I get her, I'll definitely take pictures of her.  I'm going to get a white wicker basket and add to the front.  I also found a drink holder online that I liked (see pic below) and add that.

A Motivation Goal

This morning I was thinking about my weight and how bad I had eaten all weekend and how I needed to get back on track.  Then I remembered that I currently weight 315.6 pounds and that is only 15.7 pounds away from being under the 300-lb mark.  I can't even begging to tell you when I weighed under 300 pounds, but I know it was pre-Shawn.  LOL!!  So I set a goal for myself that by the time we board the plane for Florida for Dan's wedding on Sunday, September 5, I am going to lose those 15.7 pounds.  That is 5 weeks away and I've been losing about 3 pounds a week with WW just by watching what I am eating, so I'm going to have to continue eating right, but I'm also going to have to step it up a notch and add some exercise into that routine.

I've always enjoyed bike riding and saw a really fun bike at Target the other night.  I have a bike at home, however it needs new tires and a more comfy seat so I haven't been able to ride it.  I mentioned to Shawn the other day that I wanted this bike, so I think I'm going to get it.  Actually I'm going to go to Target tonight to look at it and take a picture of it and then I'll go home and plead my case.  He'll cave...he always does.  I have a great husband like that.

I've also been tossing around the idea of going to the YMCA and doing some water aerobics classes.  I know they have one tonight so I might stop in and check that out to see if it's something I would like or not.

And of course there is just getting out and walking.  I always have an excuse not to do it.  But I need to just get out and do it - even if I start out just walking around the block once.
